Yes, if as an event organiser or committee you employ one or more people you need employers liability insurance. A person is also classified as an employee if they are hired from an agency, a temporary worker and authorised volunteers, whether paid or unpaid.
The government set a minimum requirement of £5 million for employers liability insurance, but you should check with the venue for any minimum requirements they have with regard to public liability insurance. Public liability insurance is normally available at £1, £2 or £5 million.
No, independent stallholders and exhibitors are not covered under standard event insurance policies. They are required to hold their own insurance and you should check they have a valid public liability insurance policy.
Yes, we have access to specialist insurers who provide insurance for high risk events, or events containing some high risk activities such as bouncy castles, quad bikes and go carts. Due to the nature of this risk quotes can often take up to 48 hours.
Yes, if your event is outdoors, or in a temporary structure, it is possible to insure against bad weather but the premiums are generally higher than standard rates.
For most policies we offer the choice of monthly or annual payment terms. Annual payments are made by cheque, debit or credit card or if you prefer to spread the cost of your insurance and pay monthly we offer a direct debit scheme.
